Chapter Executive Board

The chapter is governed by a group of elected officers and appointed committee chairs known as the Chapter Executive Board (CEB). Led by the President, the CEB’s primary role is to ensure the chapter offers programming aligned with the National Black MBA Association’s® five channels of engagement: Education, Career, Leadership, Entrepreneurship and Lifestyle. CEB meetings are held monthly and open to any Milwaukee chapter member in good
standing (e.g. dues are current).

Professional Development

We care about our members’ professional success. Professional development workshops are offered to help our members develop their full professional potential. Maximize your career outlook by taking advantage of this valuable membership benefit. Employers regularly turn to the Milwaukee chapter throughout the year to recruit and hire new talent and leaders. We partner with local and nationally known business leaders and experts to bring you the latest tools and information members need to be successful from entry level to the C-Suite.

Networking

Learning takes place in many different settings. Recognizing this truism, the NBMBAA Milwaukee offers various
networking events to allow members to become better acquainted with other members as well as our many strategic
partners.

Community Service

The Chapter has a long history of giving back to the Milwaukee community where our members work, live and play. This commitment to community is lived out through collaborating with our corporate, educational and other non-profit partners. Community engagement activities include:

  • Coordinating a Leaders of Tomorrow® mentoring program
  • Awarding college scholarships to YMCA Teen Achievers Program
  • Partnering with Black Child Development Institute – Milwaukee Affiliate and UW-Milwaukee to host Entering the College Zone
  • Paying travel costs for a Center for Teaching Entrepreneurship teen to attend
  • Black Enterprise Entrepreneur’s conference
  • Donating food and toys to House of Peace
  • Participating in United Negro College Fund Walk/Run
